Pay Attention
I get asked a lot by friends and colleagues - how to “get” certain opportunities, build certain relationships, or be in proximity with people that the admire. For the longest time, I didn’t really have an answer. Usually, I would say something like - work hard, do well, and it will come.
The real answer is - pay attention. Sounds simple, but it is really a bit more complicated than that.
